Expression Profiling of the Tripartite Motif Family Genes in Chronic Hepatitis C Patients

چکیده

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is one of the most prevalent pathogens which causes significant morbidity and mortality in 2% world’s population. Several interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) are involved HCV clearance by interacting with viral proteins. Among these ISGs, tripartite motif (TRIM) family elevated during infection. This study aims to evaluate expression three TRIM chronic hepatitis patients, distributed among different groups, including TRIM11, TRIM14, TRIM25. A total 242 participants were recruited this study, 182 infected 37 naïve individuals, 23 control individuals. Out 100 achieved sustained virologic response (SVR), 61 rapid (RVR), 21 patients developed hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), showing no given treatments. Our results indicate highest levels mRNA transcripts RVR group increase 7.5 folds TRIM25, 6.68 followed data from SVR group. The elevation was also evident other i.e., HCC, patterns all genes. In addition levels, a linear correlation observed between mRNAs loads HCV. These showed potential role restriction.

Expression profiling of peripheral-blood mononuclear cells from patients with chronic hepatitis C undergoing interferon therapy.

BACKGROUND Interferon (IFN) is now the standard treatment for chronic hepatitis C (CH-C); however, treatment efficacy is unpredictable before IFN therapy is started. METHODS We investigated the gene-expression profiles of peripheral-blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with CH-C showing different responses to IFN. Gene-expression profiles of PBMCs were analyzed in 21 patients with CH...

Expression of Human Cytokine Genes Associated with Chronic Hepatitis B Disease Progression

Background: Hepatitis viruses are non-cytopathic viruses that lead to the infection and pathogenesis of liver diseases as a result of immunologically mediated event. Objective: To investigate the expression of human inflammatory cytokines in chronic hepatitis B patients according to the severity of the infection. Methods: We recruited a total of 120 patients, 40 of whom from cirrhotic, 40 non-c...

Prevalence of hepatic steatosis and associated factors in Iranian patients with chronic hepatitis C

Background: Hepatic steatosis is commonly observed in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC). Many studies indicate a relationship between steatosis and fibrosis progression. The aim of this study was to analyze the prevalence of hepatic steatosis and related factors in Iranian CHC patients.   Methods: One hundred and fifteen consecutive patients with CHC were enrolled which were treat...

The Study of Cerumen Hepatitis B Infection in Chronic Hepatitis B Patients by Real-Time PCR

Introduction: The hepatitis B is a viral infection that causes a big problem globally. About 2 billion people worldwide are infected and there are now about 400 million HBV-DNA carriers around the world. HBV infection is the ninth cause of death worldwide and infects about 350 million new cases each year in the world. HBV-DNA can be spotted in different body secretions and fluids, including se...
